UIC Social Insurance Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program

SURF is a competitive, four-week program offering a $3,000 fellowship.  SURF provides undergraduate students from under-represented backgrounds with an introduction to the social safety net; including policies, history, academic research, and their impact on economically vulnerable populations while connecting students with leading poverty scholars and institutions followed by an internship with an active academic research project.
